Are we famous yet?
So, we were in Morten's car, on our way to the rehearsal room yesterday evening, when John suddenly opened his mouth and said: "I asked a journalist to come by." And lo and behold, a guy from the local newspaper entered the room just as we were starting our first song! We played a few songs for him, and told him a little about how great we are and how excellent the concert is going to be - you know, all the stuff that will make you go "duh!" :) He looked a bit confused at times, the poor man, he probably didn't get any of my jokes! And I don't think he believed us when we told him that we have a fanclub-member in the UK - which is actually true!
Anyway, he said he didn't know when the article would be printed, or how long it would be, so we'll just have to wait and see. Oh, he got some interesting photos, I think.
Now, after three rehearsals in three days, I think we're happy to take a break for a few days. Mats is hopefully working hard on the poster for the upcoming gig, I hope we can have that up on the walls around town by the end of the week. Then we gather again on Sunday (after Babylon 5!), rested and revitalised for some more pop'n'roll action! At that time I will reveal my latest addition to the drumkit, which I will keep a secret for now. And my colleague Jens, who thinks we're cool, might come along for a dose of live Flushing, since he won't be able to come to the concert.
Uh-oh! I just got off the phone with John. The brave journalist from yesterday called and said that none of the photos came out right, so John wants us to get together for another photo-session tomorrow. Goody, then I get the chance to shave first!!! :)
Remember to send me your suggestions for the name of this "diary", Ken's Korner sounds like something out of Kerrang, you know...
Until later,
