Navel Flush enters the studio

Hey Navel-friends, we finally have some actual news to tell you! For the last couple of months we've been working on new songs, so there's been little point in writing Navel Notes about that!

But here's some good news: Navel Flush are about to enter a recording studio to record their very first release! It will be a five-track CD-single. Yesterday we were in the studio to set up equipment and get sounds, and today will be our first day of recording. Because of scheduling problems, we will have a few days off between each day of recording, so we'll have studio time today, Monday and Thursday next week and Monday the week after that. At this time we don't know when we can release the CD, there are financial issues to work out first. The money for this project comes from what we've earned at concerts and out of our own pockets, so it's not a done deal that it will be out as soon as we've finished recording. But at least we're going to record, so it's safe to say that a CD-single will be released, and we hope that the release date isn't too far away.

The five songs to be recorded are:

-From A Distance

-The Moon is Under A Red Red Rose

-Everything Will Happen

-Never A Child

-Cardboard Box

The sequence of the songs is yet to be decided. The Moon is Under A Red Red Rose and Never A Child are new songs that we've not yet performed live, while Cardboard Box is a "golden oldie" that we've had since our first concert.

So there you have it. I'll write updates on our efforts as they happen. Meanwhile, remember to flush your navel regularly!
